West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership Board meets in public on 6 September

West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership’s Partnership Board (WY HCP) will meet in public on Tuesday 6 September 2022 at 2pm. The meeting will be held online using digital technology and chaired by Cathy Elliott, Chair of the NHS West Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and Vice Chair of the Partnership Board.

Asthma advice – remember your inhaler this summer

As the weather warms up and we make the most of time outdoors, the NHS in Leeds is advising people with asthma – especially children – on how to manage their health this summer to avoid the ‘September spike’ in emergency asthma admissions.

Every Breath You Treat Conference – 04 October 2022

On October 4th 2022, the "Every Breath You Treat" online conference will bring together (virtually) more than a dozen experts from academia and medicine to share cutting-edge research and insight exploring the effects of air pollution throughout the life course. There will also be the opportunity to get questions answered live by any of our expert speakers. We believe this event to be the first of its kind focused on this subject matter in the UK.

New analysis reveals trends in children and young people’s mental health care in Leeds

Across the UK, the number of children and young people experiencing mental health problems is growing especially following the Covid pandemic. Mental health services are expanding, but not fast enough to meet rising needs, leaving many children and young people with limited or no support. Too little is known about who receives support and who might be missing out.

Climate change toolkit launched across West Yorkshire

West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership (WY HCP) is supporting primary care providers such as GPs, pharmacy, dentistry, and eye health across West Yorkshire to address climate change within their organisations by launching a climate change toolkit. For many people, their first point of contact with the health service is through primary care.
